Meta's Pocket App: AI Game Creation for All

Meta's new Pocket application, designed for AI-powered minigame creation, is now accessible in the United States. This tool allows users to build and share interactive experiences, referred to as 'gizmos.' Initially tested in Brazil during July, the app is broadly available for US users to engage with these brief, interactive creations.

Pocket enables the development of 'gizmos' by utilizing Meta's AI models, which can be customized through prompts. These experiences can incorporate user-uploaded media like photos and songs, alongside phone functionalities such as touch and tilt. The platform encourages interaction, allowing users to play and remix others' gizmos, personalizing them with their own content.

The app features a dedicated feed for discovering user-generated gizmos, organized into playlists. Pocket is currently downloadable on both iOS and Android devices. It is unclear if Meta plans to expand the app's availability beyond Brazil and the US. The development of Pocket is based on Meta's acquisition of an app named Gizmo, which previously offered similar interactive creation capabilities.
