Meta's AI Snooping Fiasco: Data Breach Exposed

Meta has suspended its Model Capability Initiative (MCI), an AI program designed to track employee computer activity. The company cited an internal data leak as the reason for pausing the program, which monitored keystrokes and mouse movements. Sensitive employee data, including private conversations and performance metrics, was inadvertently exposed to the entire Meta workforce.

Despite official statements emphasizing privacy safeguards and controlled data handling, this security lapse has come to light. This event is the latest in a series of AI-related security challenges for Meta. Previously, in March, an AI agent caused a security breach, and earlier this month, hackers exploited a customer service chatbot to hijack Instagram accounts.
