The Maingear MG-1 MK. II, configured at a notable $7,567, represents the pinnacle of desktop computing performance. This review unit integrates the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 processor, distinguished by its dual 3D V-Cache chips and a substantial 192MB of L3 cache.
Complementing the CPU is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition, currently the fastest graphics card on the market. Powering this formidable duo requires a robust supply, provided by MSI's MAG A1250GL, capable of handling 1,250 watts continuously.
The system is further outfitted with a 2TB ADATA XPG Mars 980 Pro SSD and 32GB of Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR5 memory operating at 6,000MHz. These components, while capable, are noted as slightly less high-end, possibly due to ongoing memory and SSD shortages influencing prices.
