Summary
- MacBook Neo's 8GB RAM surprisingly handles demanding tasks.
- Editing 1080p and 4K video in Premiere Pro showed no slowdowns.
- Extensive browser tab usage also performed without noticeable issues.

The MacBook Neo, equipped with an A18 Pro processor and 8GB of RAM, proves more capable for demanding tasks than its specifications might suggest. Initial testing revealed that while benchmarks show limitations, real-world usage for everyday tasks and even professional applications like Adobe Premiere Pro was surprisingly smooth.
During trials, the MacBook Neo successfully edited 1080p video, including podcast episodes and shorter clips, without any performance hitches. Even when exporting a 67-minute 1080p video, the process was only slightly longer than on a higher-end model. The system effectively utilized SSD swap memory when RAM was full, without a perceptible performance drop.
Further stress tests involved editing 4K video footage shot on an iPhone, which also proceeded without stuttering or lag. Extensive use of web browsers, including keeping over 40 tabs open simultaneously in both Safari and Chrome, also went smoothly. Despite high swap memory usage, approaching 8GB in one instance, the MacBook Neo maintained functionality, demonstrating resilience under heavy loads.
