LG G6 & C6 OLED TVs Launching for Less Than Before

The LG G6 and LG C6 OLED televisions have been listed on Amazon, presenting a surprising development as their launch prices appear to be considerably lower than those of their predecessors. For the LG G6, listings indicate savings of £200, £300, and £500 for the 55, 65, and 77-inch models, respectively, compared to the LG G5's launch prices.

The LG C6 models also show notable price reductions, ranging from £100 to £200 less than the C5 across most sizes. Notably, the 83-inch LG C6 is listed £700 cheaper than its predecessor. However, a less encouraging aspect is the delayed shipping schedule, with the G6 expected mid-May and the C6 ranging from mid-May to several months later, a significant departure from the March and April launches of previous models.

This news comes as the LG G6 is anticipated to be one of 2026's top TVs, and the C6 is also expected to be a strong contender. The higher-end 77 and 83-inch C6 models will feature the new Alpha 11 Gen 3 AI Processor and Primary Tandem RGB OLED panel, mirroring the flagship G6. While these price drops are welcome, shipping dates are a point of concern, with placeholder dates likely for the C6.

Official confirmation of these prices from LG is still pending. Should these figures prove accurate, they represent a significant value proposition, especially for the advanced features integrated into the larger C6 models. This situation contrasts with the usual expectation of price increases due to inflation and new technology.
