Open Source AI Leap: Kimi K2.5 Masters Code, Vision, and Parallel Tasks
27 Jan
Summary
- Kimi K2.5 model integrates coding, vision, and self-orchestrating agent swarm capabilities.
- It outperforms top models on agentic workflows, coding, and vision benchmarks.
- The model supports parallel workflows with up to 1,500 tool calls and 100 sub-agents.

Moonshot AI has released Kimi K2.5, an upgraded open-source model that merges coding, vision, and Agent Swarm orchestration. This 'all-in-one' model processes both visual and text inputs, enabling more interactive coding projects.
Kimi K2.5 demonstrates superior performance on benchmarks for agentic workflows, coding, and vision compared to leading closed-source options. It achieved a 50.2% score on Humanity's Last Exam (with tools) and 76.8% on SWE-bench Verified.
The model's unique Agent Swarm architecture allows it to create and coordinate up to 100 specialized agents working in parallel. This self-orchestrating capability enables complex tasks requiring up to 1,500 tool calls to be completed in minutes, significantly reducing processing time.
