Kia Syros EV Charges Into India: 526km Range Unveiled

Kia India has officially unveiled its second mass-market electric vehicle, the Kia Syros EV, and has commenced pre-bookings across the nation for Rs 25,000. This new electric SUV is engineered to offer significant driving range and advanced technological features for the Indian market.

The Syros EV is available with two distinct battery pack configurations. The larger 51.4 kWh unit provides an ARAI-certified range of up to 526 kilometers, while the 42 kWh option delivers 443 kilometers. Both configurations utilize Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries with IP67 rating and liquid-cooled thermal management.

Charging capabilities are robust, with support for 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just 39 minutes. The vehicle also includes a 10.8 kW onboard AC charger and battery conditioning features. Kia is enhancing ownership with a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty and an assured buyback program.

Inside, the Syros EV features a striking 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display, integrating digital clusters and infotainment. Advanced connectivity with Kia Connect 2.0, over-the-air updates, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system are standard. Safety is paramount, with Level 2 ADAS and 16 autonomous functions alongside comprehensive passive safety equipment.

The K-Charge ecosystem supports the Syros EV, integrating over 20,300 charging points nationwide. The SUV is offered in multiple trims and a wide array of nine exterior color options, catering to diverse customer preferences.
