Epic Pods ANC: Insane Battery, Decent Sound

JLab's new Epic Pods ANC wireless earbuds are making waves with their extraordinary battery life, a key selling point in a crowded market. Offering up to 16 hours of playback with active noise cancellation (ANC) off, and around 50 hours when combined with the charging case, these earbuds cater to users prioritizing endurance.

The sound profile, while not exceptional, is commendable for the $100 price. They deliver sharp and clear mids and trebles, with a notable bass presence that performs well across various genres. A dual-driver setup, featuring a dynamic driver and a Knowles balanced armature, contributes to their audio capabilities, making them a solid option for budget-conscious consumers.

While the ANC performance is merely average, struggling slightly with significant background noise, the transparency mode functions effectively, allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings. The earbuds also offer touch and squeeze controls customizable via a companion app. However, potential buyers should be aware of reported occasional Bluetooth connectivity issues.
