7 Dec, 2025
Summary
- Scanner is significantly shorter, fitting easily into bags.
- New double-roller design enhances stability for book scanning.
- Offers multiple resolution and file format saving options.

The IRIS Book 7 features a more compact design, measuring just 0.9 inches tall, which greatly improves its portability for on-the-go scanning needs. Unlike the Book 5, its reduced height allows it to fit more easily into bags. Both models share a 1.5-inch color screen and a microSD card slot, but the Book 7 offers a slightly larger battery capacity for extended use.
Enhanced scanning performance is achieved through a new double-roller system that provides superior stability, crucial for scanning books without damaging their bindings. This improved stability also helps maintain consistent focus, leading to fewer errors in optical character recognition (OCR). The scanner supports resolutions up to 1,050dpi and can save documents in JPG or PDF formats.
Navigation is managed via four physical buttons surrounding the 1.5-inch color LCD screen. Users can adjust settings like resolution, color mode, and file format, as well as manage the memory card. The device powers on and initiates scans using a single Scan/Power button, which becomes intuitive with practice. Connectivity is provided via a USB-C port, and the device supports microSD cards up to 32GB.
