Reports indicate that the 1TB variant's manufacturing cost alone could surge by approximately $350 compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, totaling around $900. This escalation is attributed to the new 2-nanometre A20 Pro chip, pricier NAND storage and DRAM, and advanced camera modules.
While display panels and other components may see minor cost reductions, they are unlikely to offset the overall rise in production expenses. Consequently, the manufacturing cost for the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to climb by over Rs 30,000. Apple may implement strategic pricing, possibly increasing costs more for higher storage models to maintain profit margins.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is also rumored to sport a 6.3-inch OLED display and a substantial 5,567mAh battery. It is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra, with a potential starting price of Rs 1.28 lakh.
