Apple has officially released specifications for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The EU energy database has disclosed that the iPhone 18 Pro is equipped with a 4,056 mAh battery, while the Pro Max features a larger 5,391 mAh cell.
These figures show an increase from the previous iPhone 17 Pro models, particularly a significant jump for the Pro Max variant. However, the longevity of these batteries is a concern, as they are rated to reach 80% health after 1,000 charging cycles.
This battery health performance trails behind Android rivals such as Samsung's Galaxy S26 series, which boasts 1,200 charging cycles before reaching the same threshold. Even last year's OnePlus 15 offered around 1,400 cycles.
Despite concerns about longevity, improvements in the A20 Pro chip and thermal management are expected to enhance the overall battery runtime of the new iPhone models.
