Content from selected channels or creators will autoplay sequentially, a new way of organizing Reels content on the platform.
This strategic move aims to capture a share of the big-screen viewing market, differentiating itself from the defunct IGTV initiative which focused on longer-form content. While no advertising is planned for the initial launch, Instagram is considering it for future iterations. The app also supports multiple user profiles and a search function, enhancing its utility for shared viewing experiences.
