Instagram Profile Grid: Rearrange Your Posts Now!

Instagram has finally rolled out a highly anticipated feature allowing users to rearrange posts on their profile grid. This update, which began a widespread rollout on June 8th for both Android and iPhone mobile apps, concludes a nearly year-long wait since its initial announcement. Previously, profile posts were fixed in chronological order, with the only option being to pin up to three posts to the top.

With this new functionality, users can now long-press any post and freely drag it to a new position within their grid. Any posts that were previously pinned will maintain their prominent position at the top. The change was announced by Instagram head Adam Mosseri, acknowledging user feedback regarding profile layouts, particularly after previous app updates altered thumbnail orientations.
