This technology has halved his work time since he returned from the U.S. in 2021.

In New Delhi, educator Swetank Pandey leverages AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini to manage the demanding workload of coaching civil service aspirants. His academy uses AI for scanning and grading numerous answer sheets, creating study materials, and structuring syllabuses, thereby accelerating evaluation processes.

The Indian government is actively supporting AI development through national initiatives focused on research funding and worker training. Major global tech firms are also expanding their AI presence in India, with Microsoft and Google announcing significant investments to bolster cloud and AI infrastructure. This widespread adoption, however, faces challenges like developing large-scale AI models and securing advanced semiconductor chips.

While AI adoption is creating new efficiencies, it also leads to job displacement, as seen with Tata Consultancy Services cutting over 12,000 roles due to automation. Despite these shifts, early adopters like Virk and Pandey highlight AI's positive impact on making work faster and more effective.
