India's Deeptech: Scaling Agri & Water Solutions

India's agri and water technology deeptech sectors are advancing towards commercialization, despite facing challenges in scaling deployment. Nasscom organized the Deeptech Confluence 2026 in New Delhi to address these hurdles and accelerate growth.

The event brought together deeptech startups, industry leaders, investors, and government officials. Its primary focus was to discuss commercialization and deployment strategies for Indian startups in agriculture and water technologies.

Twelve innovative startups from Nasscom's 20-week growth program, DTC accelerate, were showcased. The confluence facilitated crucial conversations on market access, enterprise adoption, and investment readiness for these ventures.

These sectors are critical due to climate stress and resource constraints. The initiative aims to connect innovators with enterprises and investors to support wider adoption of solutions.

Startups presented diverse technologies, including AI for water intelligence, precision agriculture, soil health solutions, and wastewater optimization techniques. Sangeeta Gupta of Nasscom emphasized deeptech's potential for economic, environmental, and societal impact in these vital areas.
