Summary
- New Dubbelkisel driver offers wireless control for IKEA integrated lights.
- Matter-enabled, it integrates seamlessly into wider smart home setups.
- Available in Europe for €18, with wider rollout expected soon.

IKEA has launched the Dubbelkisel, a new wireless driver designed for its integrated cabinet and wardrobe LED lights. This successor to the Trådfri driver connects to IKEA's Dirigera hub, enabling wireless control through various smart switches. Its Matter compatibility allows for seamless integration into existing smart home ecosystems.
The Dubbelkisel was initially rumored earlier this year after appearing in a Thread device database. Now available for purchase, early user reports suggest it generally performs well, although some note a slight delay compared to the instant response of the older Trådfri model which connected directly to a remote.
Currently, the Dubbelkisel is being rolled out in several European countries. Priced at €18 (approximately $20 / £15 / AU$30), IKEA anticipates a more widespread availability in the near future, offering users enhanced control over their integrated lighting solutions.
