The IFA trade show in Berlin unveiled a host of innovative wearable technologies, signaling a significant advancement in personal gadgets.
Among the highlights was the Luna Band, a $149 fitness tracker offering subscription-free AI-generated health and workout recommendations. Unlike competitors, its companion app focuses on digestible, actionable advice rather than an overwhelming metrics display.
Smart rings also made a notable appearance, with Circular launching the Ring 3 Pro and Ring 3 Slim. These subscription-free rings feature onboard NFC for contactless payments and haptic feedback. The Pro model will also introduce a blood pressure trends feature this winter.
Motorola entered the smartwatch market with the Moto Watch Ultra, an LTE-capable device retailing at $349. It boasts a premium design, runs on Wear OS, and incorporates Polar's health tracking technology, positioning itself as a competitor to high-end smartwatches.
Further innovations included conceptual devices like the Odyss N1, a pendant designed to automatically log food intake using an onboard camera and motion sensor. Another concept, the iKairos pendant, acts as a 'second memory' by recording notes and translating captured moments into AI-generated images.
