Cooling Chargers Revolutionize Tech at IFA
7 Sep
Summary
- UGreen's liquid cooling tech lowers charger temps.
- Belkin debuts slim, semi-solid-state power banks.
- ESR offers dual retractable cables for convenience.
IFA Berlin 2026 unveiled significant advancements in charging technology, with innovations promising to enhance device power delivery. UGreen's MagFlow series, featuring magnetic power banks and charging stands, utilizes liquid cooling to overcome heat issues that throttle wireless charging speeds. The MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank, reportedly the first with micro-pump liquid cooling, demonstrated lower peak temperatures compared to industry standards.
Belkin also presented new semi-solid-state power banks, distinct for their higher density and slower degradation compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries. These slim models include a 15W wireless 5,000mAh unit at just 8.8mm thick and a 10,000mAh model with 60W output and dual USB-C ports.
ESR's Xtend chargers focus on user convenience with integrated, retractable cables. The 100W wall charger boasts two such cables, extending up to 95cm, while a more compact 45W version offers one retractable cable and an additional USB-C port for dual charging.
As a bonus, UGreen introduced playful 'cat chargers' with a compact design and up to 45W USB-C charging, appealing to design-conscious consumers.
