The India-spec Hyundai Bayon SUV is slated for launch on October 26, 2026, promising a technologically advanced mobility experience. This new vehicle introduces Hyundai's first generative AI voice assistant in India, integrating Perplexity's intelligence with SoundHound AI's voice technology. This AI is designed for conversational understanding, assisting drivers with itinerary planning, real-time information, and local discovery.
The Bayon features an NVIDIA-accelerated Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), offering a unified digital interface for navigation, connected services, and vehicle controls. It includes dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays that house both the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, supporting personalized user profiles.
Further enhancing its technological appeal, the SUV will support over-the-air (OTA) software updates for up to 19 vehicle controllers. It comes equipped with Hyundai Bluelink, providing over 70 connected car features, and offers extensive language support with 10 regional and two international languages, along with over 500 embedded voice commands. The vehicle will be powered by a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, delivering 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque, with options for a six-speed manual or Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).
