HTC has introduced the Vive Eagle, a new pair of smart glasses that resemble classic Wayfarer frames, available in Panto or Square lens styles and black or tinted translucent plastic. These glasses incorporate a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera capable of shooting high-resolution stills and vertical video, including slow-motion options.
The Vive Eagle is powered by a Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 SoC with 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage. It boasts 'bass-enhanced' stereo speakers and a four-microphone array. The 235mAh battery provides up to 4.5 hours of music playback or three hours for calls.
Navigating the features is managed via two buttons and a touchpad on the right arm, controlling functions from AI activation to media playback and call management. Charging is handled through a proprietary magnetic connector with a 1.2-meter USB-C cable, and an optional Power Boost battery pack extends on-the-go usage.
