GoPro has launched its new Mission 1 series of action cameras, aiming to surpass competitors. The lineup includes the Mission 1, Mission 1 Pro, and Mission 1 Pro ILS, all featuring a significantly larger 1-inch sensor. This new sensor technology enables 8K video recording, enhanced low-light performance, and 50-megapixel still images. The Mission 1 Pro ILS model stands out with its interchangeable lenses compatible with the Micro Four Thirds mount. This advanced feature, along with the large sensor, promises professional-grade footage in a compact form factor.
The Mission series cameras are powered by GoPro's GP3 processor and offer impressive video specifications. Users can capture 8K footage at up to 60 fps on the Pro models, 4K at 240 fps, and 1080p at an incredible 960 fps for ultra-slow motion bursts. The base Mission 1 supports 8K at 30 fps. These cameras also boast an updated lens with a 159-degree field of view and a new Enduro 2 battery, offering over three hours of 4K recording time.
