Google Translate has launched a new pronunciation practice feature to mark its 20th anniversary. This much-anticipated tool utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze user speech, offering real-time feedback and phonetic guidance for improved pronunciation. The feature currently supports English, Spanish, and Hindi and is rolling out on Android devices in the US and India.
Users can select 'Practice' within the app to either speak translated phrases or hear correct pronunciations from native speakers. Google highlighted that approximately one-third of mobile users already employ Translate for speaking and listening practice, making this enhancement particularly valuable.
