Google Photos Bug Fixed: Edited Pics Restored!

An irritating bug within Google Photos, which impacted Android users throughout the summer, has reportedly been fixed. The issue prevented edited pictures from appearing in the image picker of other applications, such as social media and messaging services. This glitch particularly inconvenienced users who chose to overwrite their original photos with edited versions.

While saving edited images as copies was a workaround, those preferring a single, updated version faced difficulties. After a considerable delay, reports confirm that Google has resolved this problem, freeing the affected images from a state of inaccessibility. This fix follows another recent resolution last month, where Google addressed unresponsive Share, Edit, Add to, and Trash buttons within the app after an image edit.
