Gemini Notebook Unlocks Your Book Library for AI

Google's Gemini Notebook now integrates purchased Google Play Books through its new "Expert Intelligence" feature. This allows users to query book content and generate various AI-driven outputs, like custom recipe books or responses to workplace scenarios. The functionality aims to transform personal libraries into dynamic knowledge bases.

Initially, over 100,000 books from major publishers are compatible, with 15 authors contributing "Featured Notebooks." Protections are in place to ensure users only access content they own, directing others to purchase titles. Google plans to extend this capability to AI Mode in Search and the Gemini app, eventually including scholarly and periodical content.
