Gboard Voice Typing Gets Bluetooth Mic Upgrade

Google appears to be enhancing Gboard's voice typing capabilities by enabling support for Bluetooth microphones. This development, discovered in a beta version of the Gboard app, suggests users may soon be able to leverage the microphones built into their wireless earbuds or headphones for voice input.

Currently, Gboard's voice typing functionality is limited to using the device's primary microphone. This can lead to suboptimal performance, especially in environments with background noise or when the phone is not conveniently positioned. The integration of Bluetooth microphone support promises a more flexible and potentially clearer voice-to-text experience.

While the feature has been observed in internal testing, its public release is not yet guaranteed. However, given its apparent readiness, there is a strong likelihood that this useful upgrade will be made available to Gboard users in a future update.
