Garmin has unveiled the inReach Mini 3 Plus, a significant upgrade to its satellite communicator designed for outdoor adventurers. This new model boasts a color touchscreen display, enabling easier navigation and text composition. It introduces voice messaging and the ability to send and receive photos, expanding communication possibilities far beyond previous iterations.

While the device offers core navigation features out of the box, its satellite communication functions require a monthly subscription. The inReach Mini 3 Plus supports longer text messages, up to 1,600 characters, and offers 30-second voice messages, which can also be transcribed. Photo sharing is facilitated through the Garmin Messenger app, allowing users to send images of their location or equipment issues.

The device provides impressive battery life, rated up to 350 hours for location tracking and 95 hours in performance mode.
