Casio has unveiled its new G-Shock GMC-2500 series, set to launch in Japan in November 2026. A standout feature is the magnetic minute hand, engineered to absorb the force of impacts, a mechanism Casio calls the Shock Release Hand. This design allows the hand to move temporarily after a severe knock but return to its correct position.
The collection comprises five analogue models, including two with stainless-steel bracelets and three with resin bands. These watches boast 200-meter water resistance and a stopwatch function. They draw design inspiration from the original 1983 G-Shock but feature a rounded case and analogue display. Pricing in Japan ranges from 37,400 yen to 49,500 yen.
