Summary
- Researcher accessed internal FIFA platforms via simple security flaw.
- Full control of World Cup TV stream was gained by the researcher.
- FIFA fixed the issue hours after the flaw was reported.

A critical security vulnerability in FIFA's internal platforms was recently exposed by a researcher operating under the alias BobDaHacker. The flaw, reportedly stemming from an unprotected backend API, allowed the researcher to gain unauthorized access and exercise full control over the live television broadcasts of every World Cup match.
This access extended to controlling what viewers worldwide saw on their screens and what appeared on commentators' displays. The researcher disclosed the vulnerability on Tuesday. FIFA subsequently addressed and resolved the issue within a few hours, while maintaining silence regarding the report.
