18 Jun
Summary
- Facebook experienced an outage starting early June 18, 2026.
- Over 1,000 users reported issues, primarily with the app.
- This is the second significant outage for Meta services recently.
Facebook is reportedly experiencing another unexplained service disruption, occurring less than a week after users regained access following a previous outage. Reports of problems began to surge around 6:30 am ET on June 18, 2026, with DownDetector registering over 1,000 user-submitted issues. The majority of these reports, approximately 80%, indicate problems specifically with the Facebook mobile application.
This situation closely follows a substantial outage that affected Facebook's parent company, Meta, earlier in the week. That incident lasted for about four hours and also impacted other key Meta-owned services, including Instagram and WhatsApp. The current Facebook issue is being closely monitored for further developments and updates.
