Eufy has released its Eufy Security NVR System E50, a hardwired local security camera setup incorporating on-device AI processing. This system begins at $1,200 and includes a storage unit with expandable capacity up to 16TB, along with four power-over-ethernet cameras. Each camera features both a 2K fixed lens and a 4K PTZ lens capable of 5x zoom and capturing details up to 65 feet away.
The system's core is its local AI agent, which handles facial recognition and AI-based footage searches directly on the device. This AI also enables cross-camera tracking, allowing the system to follow detected events like people or vehicles across multiple cameras. The E50 supports adding up to 16 cameras and can integrate other Eufy camera models with an optional Wi-Fi module, though it does not support third-party cameras.
Standard smart home security features are present, including color and infrared night vision, warning lights, built-in speakers, and customizable detection zones. The system comes with a USB mouse and HDMI cable for direct monitor control. The Eufy Security NVR System E50 is available now in various configurations.
