Epson Projector Hides as a Stylish Lamp

Epson's Lifestudio Flex Plus projector boasts a unique lamp-like aesthetic, seamlessly integrating into home decor while offering 4K projection capabilities. It features an LED light engine for a bright image and includes built-in Google TV, providing access to various streaming services. The projector's design allows for flexible placement on tables or shelves, minimizing visual clutter and offering a large image with minimal disruption.

The Flex Plus delivers a reasonably bright and colorful image, complemented by decent built-in speakers tuned by Bose. While its performance may not match non-lifestyle projectors in the same price range, its aesthetic appeal and functionality as a lamp are standout features. The device also offers a pivot and turn function on its stand for adjustable angling, though users are advised against relying on keystone correction for optimal picture quality.

With a claimed 1,000 lumens, actual measurements confirm robust brightness, exceeding some competitors. Despite a single HDMI port, it accommodates streaming dongles via USB. The inclusion of a USB-C power option suggests some portability, though it requires a substantial battery pack for extended use. The Flex Plus represents a significant step in creating projectors that are less obtrusive and more integrated into daily living spaces.
