A unique electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 expedition rig is preparing for an extraordinary 28,000-mile journey around the world. The vehicle, a one-off conversion featuring a Bliss Mobil living module, aims to complete the circumnavigation on battery power alone, with a target of fewer than 80 charging stops over approximately one year.
The expedition truck boasts a modified eActros 600 chassis, designed for long-haul freight, but adapted for lighter expedition use. With its three battery packs totaling 621 kWh, the vehicle's developers believe a hypermiling approach could extend its range to an ambitious 621 miles per charge, more than double its typical commercial rating.
Wagner's global route will span over 30 countries across continents including Central and East Asia, Australia, the United States, and Latin America. The journey, commencing on September 20, 2026, from IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Germany, will test the limits of electric truck technology and charging infrastructure in diverse global settings.
The living module is also fully electric, powered by its own battery and solar panels, and features a kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping space for up to four people. A unique addition is an electric motorcycle carried on the rear, allowing for exploration in areas inaccessible to the large truck.
