Durabook has introduced the Z14I-DX3, a rugged workstation laptop designed as a portable command center. This device features a unique folding design with three 14-inch, full HD DynaVue touchscreens, each offering 1,200-nit brightness for excellent sunlight readability.
When unfolded, these screens create a wide 48:9 workspace, allowing users to simultaneously view drone feeds, maps, and telemetry data. It is primarily targeted at military customers, as well as public safety and field engineering sectors.
The Z14I-DX3 is built for durability, with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G certifications, and an operating temperature range of -29°C to 63°C. It can be configured with up to an Nvidia RTX ADA 5000 GPU, providing significant AI processing power for on-device analysis.
Despite its robust features, the laptop's substantial weight of 9.8kg and thickness of 137.5mm make it more suitable for vehicle or fixed-position use rather than dismounted field operations. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and legacy ports like VGA and serial ports.
