PC Gamers Beware: Duet Night Abyss Launcher Hacked!
20 Mar
Summary
- Duet Night Abyss launcher was hacked to distribute keylogger spyware.
- Players received in-game compensation for the security incident.
- This marks at least the second security incident for the game.

The developers of the popular free-to-play game Duet Night Abyss have confirmed a significant security breach. The game's launcher was hacked approximately two nights prior to March 18, 2026, and used to distribute keylogger spyware. Players began reporting detections of the 'Umbral Stealer' trojan through their Windows Defender logs. Developers acknowledged the malicious attack, detailing their initial alerts and the subsequent mitigation steps. As a form of compensation, players will receive in-game rewards, equivalent to ten random character skins. This marks the second reported security issue for Duet Night Abyss since its launch late last year. Earlier, a hacker had exploited vulnerabilities in the developer's update system to highlight outdated security measures. The attack specifically targeted the standalone updater and launcher, though platforms like Steam, a common distribution point for PC gamers, are increasingly vulnerable.
