DJI has unveiled preliminary details for its advanced gimbal camera, the Osmo Pocket 4P. This successor to the popular Osmo Pocket 3 is engineered to deliver an exceptional 17 stops of dynamic range, a feature that rivals high-end cinema cameras. To fully capitalize on this capability, DJI has introduced a new D-Log2 logging mode.
The Osmo Pocket 4P will also feature a versatile lens setup, including a main camera with a 60mm equivalent focal length, suitable for portraiture and detailed product shots. This iteration will be offered in both classic black and a new white color option, similar to its competitor, the Insta360 Luna Ultra.
While DJI is withholding full specifications like price, resolution, and frame rates, leaks suggest availability in China and an expected release in North America and Europe early next quarter. The camera's release schedule aligns with DJI's typical staggered rollout.
