Discord Outage Disrupts Gaming Communication

As of September 15, 2026, Discord is experiencing a significant outage affecting a large number of its users. The gaming chat application is currently down due to session unavailability, impacting essential features like voice chat and messaging. This widespread disruption mirrors a similar incident experienced by Xbox approximately two months prior, which also prevented players from signing in.

Downdetector reports confirm that the problems are extensive, with the majority of users experiencing issues with the overall Discord app, followed by difficulties with logins and the Discord website. Features such as voice channels, video calls, text chat, screen sharing, and community servers are not loading for most players, indicating a critical service failure.
