Startup Delve Faces New Allegations Amidst Vercel Breach Fallout
23 Apr
Summary
- Delve certified Context AI, involved in Vercel data breach.
- Whistleblower alleged Delve faked data and used rubber-stamp auditors.
- Lovable, a former Delve customer, admitted customer data exposure.

Compliance startup Delve is facing renewed scrutiny following its involvement with Context AI, the AI agent training company implicated in a recent data breach affecting Vercel. The breach occurred after a Vercel employee used a Context AI application, granting hackers access to internal systems.
Previously, Delve faced serious allegations from an anonymous whistleblower concerning fabricated customer data and the use of unqualified auditors for compliance certifications. Delve has denied these claims. The startup also lost Y Combinator's support and faced accusations of misusing open-source code.
Adding to the turmoil, Lovable, a former Delve customer, disclosed an incident where customer chat data was inadvertently exposed publicly. This occurred after Lovable had already parted ways with Delve due to the earlier allegations and was in the process of re-certifying.
Further claims suggest Delve denied refunds to customers while simultaneously taking its team on a retreat to Hawaii. Delve has not responded to requests for comment regarding these latest issues.
