- Dell revives the iconic XPS brand after a year-long hiatus.
- New XPS 14 and 16 feature practical design changes and lighter builds.
- Models launch January 6th, starting at $1,650 and $1,850 respectively.

Dell has officially announced the return of its highly acclaimed XPS laptop line, a move that follows a widely criticized rebranding effort in 2025. The company is reintroducing the XPS 14 and XPS 16 models, featuring significant design enhancements aimed at user convenience and aesthetics. These new notebooks will incorporate a functional row of physical keys, replacing the previous capacitive touch buttons, and an updated trackpad with a subtle border for improved usability.
The redesigned XPS 14 and 16 are notably lighter, with the XPS 14 weighing approximately three pounds and the XPS 16 at 3.6 pounds. Both devices are equipped with Intel's new Panther Lake Core Ultra Series 3 chips and offer optional OLED displays. Dell also briefly teased an upcoming, ultra-thin XPS 13 expected later this year, which is promised to be their most affordable XPS model to date.
The new Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 are scheduled for release on January 6, 2026. Pricing for the XPS 14 will begin at $1,650, while the XPS 16 will start at $1,850. This strategic comeback underscores Dell's commitment to the XPS brand and aims to regain market share lost during the previous simplified naming scheme.
