New Dell XPS 14 Beats MacBooks in Endurance
15 Feb
Summary
- New Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor boosts laptop battery.
- Dell XPS 14 with OLED panel lasted nearly 12.5 hours.
- Non-OLED Dell XPS 14 achieved epic, MacBook-like battery endurance.
The landscape of Windows laptop battery life has dramatically improved with the introduction of Intel's latest Core Ultra Series 3 processor. Recent tests show that laptops equipped with this new chip, such as the Dell XPS 14, are now matching or exceeding the battery endurance of top-tier MacBooks.
During rigorous testing, the Dell XPS 14 featuring an OLED display achieved nearly 12.5 hours of continuous web surfing. However, a version with a non-OLED panel and a different configuration of the 'Panther Lake' chip delivered even more remarkable results.
This specific configuration of the Dell XPS 14 not only outlasted its predecessor, the Dell 14 Premium, but also surpassed the battery performance of the 14-inch MacBook Pro M5. This indicates a significant advancement in power efficiency for Intel's processors.
