- It offers two battery options, with the larger boosting range to 279 miles.
- The Raval boasts a sporty chassis and enhanced agility features for performance.

Cupra, a Spanish car brand, has introduced its new Raval EV, with pricing starting just below £23,000. This model represents the entry point into Cupra's lineup and is built on the same platform as upcoming Volkswagen EVs.
The Raval EV is set to arrive later this summer. It is expected to qualify for the Government's Electric Car Grant, which could align its starting price with that of the Renault 5 EV.
Customers can choose between a 37kWh battery offering 186 miles of range or a 52kWh option that extends the range to 279 miles. Higher trims can be equipped with a more powerful motor, surpassing the Renault 5's maximum range.
The Raval is engineered to be the sportiest among Volkswagen Group's small EVs, featuring a lowered sports chassis and performance-tuned steering. It also includes features like a launch control system and adaptive dampers.
Visually, the Raval echoes the 2022 Urban Rebel concept with a sloping roofline and distinct lighting elements. Inside, it boasts large digital displays and sustainable interior materials. Notably, its design offers 430 litres of boot space, exceeding that of the Cupra Born.
The Cupra Raval will be available for purchase starting July 1st. Pricing varies across trims and battery options, with the range-topping VZ model starting from £35,705. Special launch editions are also being offered with additional features.
