Coway, a brand recognized for its top-rated air purifiers, has introduced the Airmega Mighty2 Mini. This new unit is significantly more compact, measuring 40% smaller than the Airmega Mighty2, and comes with a compelling price tag of $170. Its design emphasizes quiet operation, making it suitable for environments like bedrooms and nurseries.
The Airmega Mighty2 Mini utilizes a multi-stage filtration system, including a HEPA filter capable of capturing 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. It offers various modes such as eco, turbo, sleep, and smart, along with adjustable speeds and a timer.
Although this affordable option does not support app connectivity, it incorporates a built-in air quality monitor. This feature uses a four-color LED indicator to visually display the current air quality in the room. The unit is lightweight, weighing less than 10 pounds, and easy to relocate.
While recent testing on the larger Airmega Mighty showed decent particle removal speeds, the Mighty2 Mini will undergo CNET's rigorous testing in Louisville, Kentucky, to assess its performance against established benchmarks. Coway's previous top models, the Airmega 450 and 400S, retail at $499 and $680 respectively.
