Summary
- Claude integrates personal apps like Spotify, Uber, and Audible.
- User data from connected apps is not used for model training.
- Users can add and disconnect apps via the 'customize' tab.

Anthropic's AI assistant, Claude, has significantly expanded its capabilities by introducing connectors for numerous personal applications. This move allows users to integrate services such as Audible, Spotify, Uber, AllTrails, TripAdvisor, and Instacart directly into their conversations.
Previously focused on work-related applications, this update broadens Claude's utility for daily life. Once an app is connected, Claude can proactively suggest relevant integrations, like offering hike recommendations via AllTrails. The company emphasizes user privacy, stating that data from connected apps will not train their models and that users can disconnect services at will.
Anthropic also assured users that there are no sponsored placements or paid answers within Claude's conversations. When multiple apps are relevant, Claude presents results ranked by usefulness. For actions like purchases or reservations, Claude will always seek user verification beforehand.
These new app connectors are now available across all Claude plans, accessible through the 'connectors' option in the 'customize' tab on Claude's sidebar.
