The upcoming real-time strategy game, Chronicles: Medieval, has clarified its voice cast, confirming Tom Hardy was featured only in the trailer. Lars Mikkelsen will instead take on a chronicler role. This ambitious title from Raw Power Games is slated for an Early Access launch in 2027.
The game promises a deep historical sandbox experience, set in 1313 AD across a map spanning from the Pyrenees to Poland. Players begin as peasants and can pursue various paths, including merchant, bandit, or even claiming the English crown through political maneuvering.
Chronicles: Medieval uniquely combines grand-scale, top-down troop battles with an optional third-person combat perspective. Players can command up to 2,000 troops, with historically inspired units and customizable army trees for different cultures like England, France, and the Holy Roman Empire.
Beyond combat, diplomacy and intelligence gathering play key roles. The game also plans to offer a four-player co-op campaign, custom battle modes, and full console support, aiming for a robust 1.0 release with extensive modding tools.
