Google has issued an important security update for Chrome 145, addressing ten vulnerabilities across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. This release, pushed out on March 5, 2026, includes fixes for three critical security flaws located in graphics libraries, specifically Angle, Skia, and PowerVR. Nine vulnerabilities were reported by external security researchers, with the remaining one internally identified.
While Google states none of these vulnerabilities have been actively exploited in the wild, users are strongly advised to manually update their browsers. This can be done through the 'Help > About Google Chrome' menu. The update ensures protection against potential security breaches stemming from these previously unfixed issues, maintaining the integrity of user data and browser performance.
Simultaneously, Chrome 146 was released as an early stable version to a small percentage of users and is available for iOS. The Extended Stable Channel for Windows and macOS has also received an update to Chromium version 144.0.7559.236, further enhancing security for users on older versions.
