ChatGPT Now Powers Your PowerPoint Presentations

OpenAI has announced that ChatGPT is now integrated into Microsoft PowerPoint, offering users the ability to generate new presentation slides and modify existing ones through AI. The functionality responds to natural language commands and can access content from connected services such as Gmail, Outlook, and SharePoint.

This new PowerPoint feature is currently in beta, but it is accessible to the majority of OpenAI users, encompassing both free access tiers and subscribers of ChatGPT Business. This development places OpenAI in direct competition with rivals like Anthropic, whose Claude chatbot has offered similar presentation capabilities since September.

Google's Gemini also boasts integration with its own Slides platform. This strategic expansion of ChatGPT's capabilities across enterprise tools, including Excel and Google Sheets, appears to align with OpenAI's preparations for a potential high-value initial public offering, emphasizing a strategy of mirroring competitor features.
