Central Railway Vows Crackdown on Misleading Festive Season Posts

In the lead-up to the upcoming festive season, the Central Railway in Mumbai has taken a firm stance against social media accounts that are circulating misleading videos related to the railways. According to the chief spokesperson, Swapnil Nila, the railway authorities have identified over 20 such social media handles and have begun the process of filing FIRs against them.

To combat this issue, the Central Railway has implemented a 24/7 social media monitoring mechanism to keep a close watch on these "antisocial elements." The railway has also appealed to all social media users to refrain from sharing videos of crowds or other incidents at stations without verifying the facts. Passengers are urged to rely solely on official railway notifications and verified social media handles of the Ministry of Railways for authentic information.

The crackdown on misleading content aims to prevent confusion among passengers during the busy festive season. The railway authorities are determined to take strict action against those responsible for spreading misinformation and creating unnecessary panic.
