- Open system allows users to select their own speakers.
- System debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin from September 4-8.
Canvas HiFi has enhanced its already impressive soundbar with a new Dolby Atmos upgrade, featuring a redesigned controller and connection hub. This advanced system leverages BACCH 3D virtual surround technology for the front soundstage, delivering precise audio positioning. For rear and height channels, it supports Dolby Surround and Dolby Atmos.
The core of the upgrade is a new control box, developed in partnership with Almando. This hub manages surround sound decoding and signal distribution, while also expanding connectivity options for better integration with AV systems. Canvas emphasizes an open system approach, giving users the freedom to choose their own speakers for surround and height effects.
For those seeking a complete setup, Canvas recommends System Audio's Silverback active speakers, which are designed to visually complement the soundbar. The new system is scheduled to make its public debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin, running from September 4th to September 8th, 2026.
