Camp Snap has released the CS-8 Mini, a significantly smaller iteration of its screen-free CS-8 video camera, maintaining a retro design inspired by classic Super 8mm film cameras. This miniature version boasts a reduced grip size, making it more accessible for younger users, and offers video capture up to 2.7K resolution from its 1/2.7-inch sensor.
The CS-8 Mini is now available for $149.99 through Camp Snap's online store and Target, offered in bright blue, orange, pink, and green. It continues the minimalist approach with no built-in screen, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth connectivity. Recording is managed via a trigger button, saving clips to an included 4GB microSD card, with footage downloadable through a card reader or USB-C cable.
Despite its compact size, the CS-8 Mini provides several creative recording options. Users can choose from four aspect ratios, including 16:9 widescreen and 9:16 vertical, along with 1:1 square and classic 4:3. It also features up to 8x digital zoom and five distinct film-style filters, ranging from vintage looks to black and white, to enhance captured videos.
