Summary
- Sporty cuff design ensures a secure fit during intense workouts.
- Physical buttons offer reliable control, even with sweaty hands.
- Deliver impressive bass for open-ear earbuds, getting closer to sub-bass frequencies.
The Bose Sport Open Earbuds are engineered for athletes, providing audio without sacrificing environmental awareness. Featuring a unique, C-shaped cuff design made of soft silicone, they wrap around the outer ear, ensuring a secure fit even during vigorous activity like running. Unlike touch controls, these earbuds utilize textured physical buttons for play/pause, track skipping, and volume adjustment, ensuring usability with sweaty fingers.
With an IP54 rating, the Sport Open Earbuds offer adequate protection against sweat and light rain, though they are not waterproof. They connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and support SBC and AAC codecs, with planned future firmware updates for enhanced features like Google Find Hub and Alexa integration. The earbuds boast up to seven hours of battery life per charge, with the case providing an additional 22 hours.
Sound quality is a highlight, offering one of the best bass responses for open-ear designs, approaching sub-bass frequencies more closely than predecessors. While they may not replicate the deep bass of in-ear models, they deliver a natural presentation for vocals and acoustic tracks. Microphones are functional for calls, though the voice output may sound processed.
