Boox has unveiled the Palma 3, a smartphone-sized e-reader that offers a notable redesign and enhanced functionality.
Nearly two years after its predecessor, the Palma 3 now boasts a sleek, anodized aluminum frame complemented by a paperlike fiberglass backplate. This new hardware encloses the same 6.13-inch, 300ppi E Ink Carta screen.
Internally, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Q-6690 octa-core processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. A 3950mAh battery, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a fingerprint reader are also included.
A significant upgrade is the inclusion of Android 16, placing it just one generation behind the latest OS version. This ensures a more up-to-date user experience.
The Palma 3 supports the Boox InkSense Plus active stylus, enabling digital note-taking. However, the stylus is an optional accessory, priced at an additional $46, which elevates the total cost considerably.
